What to Know During Recovery After Dental Implant Treatment
6 min read
Recovery after implant treatment varies by patient, but noticeable relief typically comes within a few days. Mild swelling and sensitivity in the first 24–48 hours is normal.
Applying a cold compress on the first day helps reduce swelling. Avoid hard and very hot foods; soft, lukewarm meals are recommended during initial healing.
Smoking is strongly discouraged during recovery, as it can interfere with bone integration around the implant. Careful oral hygiene and regular use of the prescribed mouthwash are important.
At Kayra Dental Clinic, every implant patient is followed closely by their personal coordinator with regular check-in calls throughout recovery.
